Texas gets a second date as does Phoenix. I might as well quit going to the the Daytona 500 otherwise it's back to back to back races, and with the IRL usually a spring race it could be four in a row.

It's kind of funny but when I was a kid and Dan Gurney was beating "them" I always wanted California drivers winning and taking their tracks out of the South, now I think I should have wished going to the moon as a kid instead. ;)

Give up the Daytona 500 for an EArL race in Phoenix? I don't get you...

I didn't say that. The EArl is usually a March date. 3 Cup races so close with only a week off would be boring and expensive.

serious question: is Nascar slowly moving away from its grassroots races? i dont know much of their history, but i do remember rockingham being there as long as i can remember...

if so, do you think they'll begin to alienate fans?
