Funny story

I went up to the Northside of Indy to watch the LBGP quals on high def. TV that Railbird set up. Coming home, I stopped at the Shell station to fill up my Mini Cooper "S". At the pump right behind me, and just getting there as well, was a guy about thirty years old. Very preppy looking, with an outstanding looking woman in the passenger seat. Convertible Vette IMS courtesy car. They both looked like models.... and had on some racing T Shirts with the rising sun and I could make out the word Montegi.

I had on my orange "Champcar" T-Shirt. Im pumping gas, hot chick was preening herself, young Vette driver is leaning in window making small chat with girl. He looks at me, and ask's, "Who got the pole for Long Beach"? I go Bruno. I say nothing more. He goes, "We just got home from Montegi" I go, "Where is that"? He goes "Japan, The IRL race" I go "which short tracker won"?

Never said another freakin' word

Some are, but most are new. The ones taken during the pre-season test are a little more serious.

A couple of clues that these are new: The Penske guys wore plain red for those shoots, and have Marlboro on them for others. Also Adrian Fernandez and Vitor Meira are in these - and they weren't at that shoot. Herta also had a plain white firesuit then - XM Radio hadn't been announced yet.)
