Does this guy drive with his eyes closed? Like DW said, Park him!

I used to be a fan but it seems with every year passing he seems to become a bigger jackoff. Perhaps he should explore a malpractice suit against those giving him the anger management sessions. It's scary, but his violence seems to be directed towards fellow racers now and not towards the press.

Stewart's current behavior is consistant with what we've seen in the past. He is a spoiled brat who thinks he's entitled to whatever he wants, and when he doesn't get his way he takes it out on other drivers (something no true Professional would ever do) and otherwise acts like a total pud. Remember his remarks when he drove Crapwagons? Remember when he tried to drive Arie off the track?

He is what he is. I'm with DW. Park 'em. Someone has to inject a dose of humility into that big baby.

as it turns out, his choice of a nickname for himself is spot-on.

Somebody has to replace DE, Sr. in that crap pile of a series. Stewart is only making the same moves that made St. Dale a Southern Icon.

What did Stewart do now? Since my autocross got cancelled I didn't feel like watching any racing so I went out and bout ToCA Race Driver 2 for Xbox.

Nevermind, just read about it on the Speed Channel site. His actions are getting very tiring. If you are going to act like that on the track, at least have the balls to stand up and defend yourself instead of hiding from the media, lettting your people do all the explaining, and apologizing for your actions only to do it again.

I never could understand how driving with total disregard for the safety of fellow competitors was considered heroic and made St. Dale so reverred.

Maybe cuz I'm from Chicago I just don't understand.

Got into Wallace at California Speedway. The hit that Tony put Rusty in the wall was actually not Tony's fault although it would look that way, TiVo shows Johnson getting into the back of Tony and you can hear his engine rev higher as the weight went off the back, he then slid into Rusty.

Rusty was more mad about Tony giving him the finger than anything else, when he had is tirade (http://www.nascar.com/2004/news/headlines/cup/05/02/rwallace_wreck/index.html)

I must admit I was bored and watched a lot of that farce.

Stewart waxed the @$$ of several other cars, got them light in the loafers, and Intimadated his way around. That is not racing, it is white trash melodrama on the level of WWF.

He did? Yesterday? He finished 16th a lap down. I agree though that the use of the chrome bumper is not racing. No matter who the driver is. As far as "white trash melodrama on the level of WWF" I would disagree.

Hits a bit too close?

So goes your contribution to the hagiography for St. Tony. :p

Wrong again. ;)

I have always been a fan of the driver who won at every road course Winston Cup ever raced at.... I think all four. :p

Correct, if he had he would have probably driven the Oval! (http://www.fototime.com/23B76D59222D4DB/orig.jpg)

But he did win at Sears Point and Watkins Glen.

So what? Even Boris Said can win at those places.

Stewart is a prisoner of his income.

I'm pretty sure he'd rather be eatin' fried chicken and racing with "The Dude" three nights a week, but that Cup money is too hard to give up.

Plus, as much as Nascar likes to pontificate, they know drivers bitchi' gives the press something to talk about Tues thru Thurs.

I don't think that's the case. If he went back to running USAC tomorrow he'd still be a spoiled jerk. Where he is racing has nothing to do with his attitude.

Offhand, i can remember him winning at Sears Point in the Trans Am against much better road racing competion than Stewart ever sees in NASCRAP.

I'd have to check the results for Watkins Glen, but I'm too effing lazy this morning.

:)

He didn't win on NASCAR road races at Portland, Sears Point, Kansas.

He didn't win in Busch or Cup at Watkins Glen. But he did win a Craftsman Truck race there. So winning against better competition is better than losing against NASCRAP competition? O-k. ;)

Personally I always liked Ron Fellows who could at least put together 3 wins in 5 starts in Busch, 2 wins in his truck, but is O for 10 in Cup.
