It's official:

Bruno Junqueira will return to the Indianapolis 500 with Newman/Haas Racing, the latest Champ Car team to cross over to the rival Indy Racing League.

Nice IMS spin in that first sentence.

Here is the full article. (http://sports.excite.com/news/04262004/v0759.html)

To be fair, I don't think that text is in the IMS press release.

As for N-H. They care so much that the car was unpainted for the big "unveiling"

I'm surprised to see Pacificare on the car. That number looks like it was put on with duct tape.

I Hope Bruno Wins

but if he loses the "IndyWay" they will be in for so much whining, I'll personally pay for the loudspeaker to blast it all over the track for hours ! ;)

Bruno had his seat fitting, afterwhich it was sent to Helio for the Official "Sniffing" which he volunteers for every year! ;)

No, but I have to say that all-black one looks especially bad. Reminds me of a great big waterbug!

I am embarrassed to say that they will be using a Honda badged, Illmor engine. (For those in SoCal who know me, yes.... I am a Honda employee) and we got a newsletter announcing how proud AHM was to add the highly successful N\H racing team to Honda with their deep tradition, and how it helps Team Honda with 11 entries into this year's Indy 500.... blah, blah, blah.

Hey man, I still enjoy my job, but sheesh, its getting DEEP at the PR end of the cesspool! :shakehead

Do they have plans to do it in house or just happy with farming out the work?

Hass is the same kind of whore as most of the other owners, just show him the money,

Outside of that this will be an interesting effort to me.

Late entry based in a small shop manned with a lot of experience.

Looks like someone got kicked in the ass for feeding Fred Nation's spin straight onto the AP wire. :D

I wouldn't lump him in with the traitors, Penske and Ganassi. He's hung on this long and he's only doing the 500. None of the others still have Champ Car teams.
