 Finally, independent research has been and is being done on the efficiency, flushability, clear-away-the-crap-ability of toilets, simulating true-to-life conditions. None of this bucket o' itty bitty sponges baloney, no siree bob...how does a plateful of soy paste strike ya?? Sounds about right to me.

Here's a link to Jon Eakes column on the subject - for those not familiar, he's a Cdn handyman icon. We caught a feature on his TV show about these toilet tests.

And here's a link to the Canadian Water and Wastewater Association (CWWA); there is a pdf available of their 'Maximum Performance Testing of Popular Toilet Models' - the program was a "cooperative effort between Canadian and American municipalities and water agencies".

As long as my bed, sink and toilet aren't in the same room, I don't care what I'm sitting on.

It's really all about the paper. :D

Paper? Who needs paper? Just get one of these babies and get your backside toasted, hosed down, and blow-dried. :)

I agree....we don't have one of those so I just hop in the shower, saves time instead of standing there cleaning with TP for ten minutes. YUCK.

I keep getting these flyers from Home Depot advertising the American Standard "Champion". They claim to flush something like 16 billiard balls.

Can't help but think of the Bundy's.

I know that they need to include the info for plausibility/scientific purposes, but I really don't feel the need to contact the company to find out who their Canadian source for the soy paste is.
