I just went over to http://www.motorsports.thepaddock.com/freqs.html (last year's most reliable source) and they currently have no listing for champcar freqs.

I did send an e-mail their way in hopes that they can provide a few freqs before LBGP..Otherwise, I'll find a way to get them at the track.

Just try to find me or some other dumb soul who plunks down the $5. I figure I do it once year, it averages out pretty well over 3 or 4 races. I'll be at the Brewery with TravelGuy. :)

Hook up with us friday morning, and a few of us might "defray" the cost of said list...

Let's see..5 people splitting that $5 charge: Do the math, and it comes out less than Ank will have to spend on the beer he owes me!!

Do you want to get caught or do you not want to get caught?

Can't help you out either way, sorry. Want to go halfs on a fifth of a list instead?

Cheap SoCals. You'll spend a Lincoln for a warm beer or a tenderloin... uh, I mean soy burger at LB. What's the problem? Somebody pony up for a list, post it, and we'll all send you a quarter. :D :D :D

In the past, you could go to the side door of the CART merchandise trailer and get a frequency list for free. I think it is actually supposed to be the updated list for the weekend if a team has to change frequencies due to local interferance. When I bought the list once from RR, they told me to go to the CART trailer for any updates. I went and they gave it to me for nada. Mama didn't raise no fool, so I always try that first before I ever buy.

ain't that the truth?

The best thing to do is buy a list and then surf the sites for corrections. My laptop is old and slow but i ist still indispensible on road trips for updates on the event.

"rascal"? I haven't been called that since I was a pre-teen!

"scammer", yes.."schemer", yes..."wheeler-dealer"..I wear the title proudly.

I'm not in objection to paying for the correct info, however: When a company corners the market and then prints the list on colored paper so that it can't be duplicated unless hand written, I take exception.

Dave, don't forget the banners..One for me, and one for my good friend Dave99.

I'll buy you a root beer at the dinner. :D

Hey, YOU took the bait...Who is to blame for being caught? the fisherman or the fish?

I was just looking for a free beer every now & then!

There is a partial list of 2004 frequencies posted here:

http://www.racebyrace.com/drivers/ccwsdrivers2004.phtml

Hopefully, they'll have more updates later this week or after the practice sessions. Freqs for the two Coyne cars, Allmendinger, Philippe & Sperifico are not listed yet.

For anybody going to the race, I'm VERY curious if they will follow through on the plan to keep Race Control 1 (457.0125) on a private channel (e.g. one that you CANNOT monitor with a scanner).

If somebody would check that out for me and report back, I will be very grateful.
