Seems the Camry has a mind of its own.

Since Audi so painfully found out that Americans don't know how to drive, I'll take all those unintended acceleration stories with a grain of salt.

whether an electronic throttle control system might cause unwanted acceleration

I wonder if this is throttle by wire? I can more easily understand a computer glitch causing unintended acceleration then the deal with Audi.

My new Acura has throttle by wire too.

I don't know if Acura uses it, but my Golf has an interlock whereby the computer shuts down fueling if the gas and brake are pressed at the same time. Makes it impossible to heel and toe, but there are ways around that if you're so inclined.

I haven't even picked up the WRX yet, but the kid called Friday and said it had a recall over a throttle issue. They want to keep it til mid-week to get the recall issue fixed. Looovely... That H&K MP5 is looking better all the time. :)

I thought maybe this was about the problem with their cars suddenly and inexplicably only turning left.
