They aren't listed on the CCWS sponsors page (http://www.cart.com/About/Sponsors.asp), but I don't believe they were ever a series sponsor. However, they may be an event sponsor for the Mexico races (tho, neither of the sites for those races appear to be responding now).

We'll have to wait. The CCWS site still has AF team on it.(As well as a few others,ie. Fittipaldi-Dingman). I thought they dropped Fernandez's primary team sponsorship to concentrate on event sponsorship, more signeage, etc.

Based on the Fernandez Racing press release, Tecate will remain with AF as a sponsor (associate?):

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (March 11, 2004) – Fernández Racing today announced that owner/driver Adrián Fernández will compete in the 2004 IRL IndyCar® Series beginning with the Indy 200 Copper World Classic in Phoenix on March 21. Fernández will drive a Hondapowered Panoz G Force chassis on Firestone tires with sponsorship from long-time supporters Quaker State, Telmex and Tecate and new partner Aceros Vilag.

However, they may still be an event sponsor for the Mexico races. The Grand Prix of Monterrey site (http://www.tecatetelmexgrandprix.com/) still shows them as an event sponsor (tho, the site is under repairs currently).

Someone said AF was also pissed that they had convinced Tecate to become more of a series sponsor. Is that true? Was it at the expense of AF?
