We know he has a tested Gforce in the shop and a free pass with Toyota. Local word has some technos looking for a shop to use as a base during the Indy effort.

supposedly Haas is doing Indy and Newman told the garage folk to not get used to the car cuz it was for 1 race and 1 race only

Hope they change their minds. But if the don't, there's no reason to risk the A team at the height of the season. Better to hire some 30-year-old Limey journeyman who's got nothing to lose.

Let's hope it's a one month contract with the crew. And it's H without the N, right? I can't see Mr. Newman having anything to do with this effort.

Ok, so that means that they have to find how many more cars to get to 33?

I may be wrong, but Carl Long may be busy that weekend.

And for record, in the final 2 years of the EVIL CART era, 45 & 44 car/driver combos respectfully practiced to make the field. Good thing Idiotgrandson fixed all of that.

Yes it's Haas without Newman.

Bruno is the rumored shoe.

Agreed. And to give a shout out to Bob Cole, ya gotta admit that it makes his job easier.

Thanks ToeKnee.

Does Carl Haas actually think that a Win by his Team at Indy would stand ?

I believe Bruno tested the car at Phoenix last year.

Completely agree, but I suspect it's too late. Hopefully OWRS can come with a pleasant surprise for us.

I believe Bruno tested the car at Phoenix last year.I think Bruno was at Fontana late last year and PIR earlier this year (where the press was instructed NOT to ask him about IRL). Sebastien has also done (clandestine) testing at Milwaukee, IIRC.

If the "N/H to run irl 500" rumors were true in years past, this would be the 6th or 7th consecutive visit to the irl 500, IIRC

Yep, some people are slow learners. It's a good thing when you can learn from someone else's mistakes. In Carl's case, I hope he maybe missed Indy the year Paul won. Otherwise, Carl, please swing your other leg over that side of the fence and let Mr. Newman take over. At least he doesn't have splinters in his @ss.

Don't know how true it is but; a RUMOR told to me is that there will be a Cialis sponsored car in the 500. I was told this when openly asking why Cialis was advertising during the IRL race this weekend. The source would not say that Haas was the guy, but that there would be a car. I was told this prior to hearing the latest chat and the Bruno was in Miami, which is also not a surprise since he lives there and is friend with Helio and others.

At this time I will take these RUMORS for what they are RUMORs

FWIW: RM's saying the same thing.

I would agree, but frankly, I would put large sums of $$$ on the idea that it aint gonna happen. Too late, IMHO, unless they've already worked out details w/Vegas on the street race and will announce it next week.

BTW: What are the odds of SeaBass getting in a car?

Only difference is this time he bought a car.

This would explain Jim McGees hiring as director of special ops........

Sorry if already mentioned.

if all the rumors were to be believed Hass has the most complete museum of Indy Cars in existence. All makes and models apparently stuffed back in some musty hide-away.

Of course this year they've tested, and hired Jim McGee.

Haas rented the old Vermont American/Mo Nunn shop on Gasoline Alley today.

Think he might open a tenderloin stand?

I hope that by May, both Bruno and Sebacious are in the pointz and can't risk the death, dismemberment, and G.B.H.

...and so on and so forth.

...or whatever

...and things of that nature.

...and this, that, the other.

...or what have you.
