A train had a little problem with a bridge near Houston today. I think I would tell them to find somebody else if they asked me to walk out there.

He is wearing his safety vest. :)Smart move. It'll make it a lot easier for the recovery team to find his body.

Now I know why BIF calls all you guys Nancy boys.

If they're paying you $4 an hour, you do what the boss tells you to do. Just ask anyone who works for Tony.

Wow. That bridge must represent one of the truly great achievements in gomer structual engineering. Three different supports, none of them alike, none of them looking like they're capable of supporting their own weight.

I'm just amazed that anyone would drive a train over it in the first place.

I was thinking the exact same thing, NRC.

Looks like the problem started with the foundation failing.

Expect to see more of this crap if this country doesn't start investing in the repair/upgrading of its infrastructure in a SERIOUS way, and soon.

that's what I was thinking. Whenever I'm crossing through louisiana on I-10, there's a certain portion elevated above swampland along side some rail lines I think... man those are some freaky looking bridge supports... "please dont collapse and be eaten by gators please dont collapse and be eaten by gators please dont collapse and be eaten by gators"

Agreed.

Now try the same route in a freezing rain storm.

<although the gators were all wrapped snug in their blankets.>

I think.
