Wow...we may need to order more mouskateer (sp?) ears for all these new members.

It is good to see so many familiar names all in one place.

Holy Crap! Welcome. I made the switch early-on. It's good to try new things. How many of us went from a 7 to an 8G? And did you take a new handle/name over here too? I did.

It's great to be able to speak about racing with intelligent people again. Let's just say that all the bad things you heard about all the other places are true. Thanks WB for an oasis.

You have to be SlotCart.

Holy Crap!

Napolean wins.

I don't like breaking bad on people that are justtrying, but I kinda got burned over there. Plus, the whole troll thing and powerplay stuff going on with the people who run it got real old.

It's a chat web site for God sake...talk about taking yourselves a little too seriously.

That's why I'm on camber now. Or is that Off Camber now?

Funny thing, time. Changes one in many ways. Between the flame wars and the infuriating trolls and the ex-CART drivers spin doctoring, the 'defense' was being sucked right out of me. Now I really only find enjoyment in searching out lone_groover posts. :)

WB has given me the benefit of the doubt in allowing me to post here and I'm looking forward to discussing the new CART with many an old friend with nary a flame in sight.

CART is re-born and the catalyst that caused the 'virtual battles' in the past are history.

I have a paper prize. The day I opened that small treasure changed my mind on what sort of fan I wanted to be.

Cheers to you all, I feel a new day has dawned.

You're right racer', I think we have all changed this past year. Although I still watched every race I basically just lurked on the Forums, I just didn't have the energy to fight.

Having said that, a new season is upon us, new drivers, new teams and tracks and a new place to chat. Optimisim abounds. :)

Rusty.

Actually thats not what I meant at all, you are reading too much into what I said. I was just poking fun at the fact that Napoleon and mapguy never seem to disagree on anything.

I think the only way to tell the difference between the two of them is the fact that Napoleon never ends the last sentence of any of posts or e-mails with a punctuation mark. ;)

There''s your difference. Nappy supports the earl, while Mappy is a tried and true supporter of CCWS.

The envy that Nappy has for my Escort is so thick you could cut it with a knife.

Who can blame him? It is the finest peice of engineering to come out of Wayne, Michigan. Chicks dig the flashy red paint job. The 5 speed shifts smoother than anything from eastern Europe. Ford has done such a good job on the safety front also. Not only are there two air bags but Ford has engineered it so it won't go over 75mph. Therefore keeping me out of trouble with the law. Very thoughtful of them.

I was considering putting a roll cage in it and entering it in the ITA class for the SCCA. But that would be unfair to the competitors.

Don't laugh, I bet someone has done that before.

I remember when people use to enter Ford Feistas, and at Summit Point they have/use to have a whole class call something like GP, which was nothing but Pintos. The Wall Street Journal actually did a story on the Pinto racers at SP once.

Trust me, the family has been alerted to watch for any suspicious looking Ford Escorts in the neighborhood. Not only that but I distributed a flyer to all of my neighbors informing them that a burglar has been spotted in adjacent neighborhoods driving a red Escort and that they must report any such car seen in the area immediately to the police (for the record the police can see my house from the station so it would only take them a few seconds to arrive).

Should those steps fail the son has been instructed that he must sacrifice himself as the first line of defense (we have had him training in the basement with numchucks and various martial arts devices and singing various songs lauding my leadership of the household).

Should you breach the first line of defense the wife has been instructed to distract you by flashing you while I make my way out the back door like a weasel.

Should all that fail and you still give chase I have several six packs of quality beer I will drop as I run on the assumption that you will stop to sample them.
