Well, they got the nepotism part down. (JC France) Now all they need is a little nose candy and a professional liar like Freak Nation and they will be all set.

Not to worry, after a recent meltdown at TF and a vow to never watch OW racing again, Lemming koolaid sipper doc austin is now sucking the France's latest brew and is throwing his full weight (1 drunk, obnoxious racing fan passed out on the Daytona infield according to him) into full support of the new series. Expect him at a Sportscar forum nearest and dearest to you singing the praises of all the side-by-side banging and rubbin of 30 DP's at a racetrack near you. :gomer:

I just read this part of the page, below the main article, this morning:

The 2004 NASCAR Nextel Cup Series. We were thinking of doing a preview of the 2004 season this week, but we decided not to. Everything that could possibly be said about the new series sponsor, the new points system, and anything else that matters in the NASCAR universe has been analyzed and dissected by the media to the point that we're already sick of it

Interesting analysis of the current dismal state of sports endurance racing. He even got the Tony George/IMS angle right up until he contended that Tony won something.

Tony did win something pchall....the idiot of the year award for thinking he could walk into court and buy the series as easily as he would order a happy meal at Mickey D's :gomer:

Autoextremeist is not a friend of Champcars either...after the buyout they had an article that seemed to indicate the 3 wisemen were stupid for not letting tg reunite OW in this country.

The sad part is is that the Frances could easily outspend Panoz in the long run. It'll just be a matter of attrition. First Open wheel and then sportscars. Will there be anything left not dumbed down by some faction of the France/ISC monopoly?

IIRC, methboy was touting some inside info to a merger back in 2002 which, of course was a figment of his imagination.
