snip* A special added attraction has been organized for the Mopar Twin 25's Irwindale, and it's big!

Famed Champ Car stars Adrian Fernandez, Michel Jourdain Jr. and Patrick Carpentier will climb into Focus Midgets to pit their racing skills in these quick, twitchy race cars against the best Focus Midget regulars. Race fans will see 25 laps of race action as these star drivers bring their open-wheel skills to the Irwindale short track. *snip

Well, hey, it is the "Official Road" to the IRL!

Best of luck to them. Racing needs more crossover

Kurt Busch was involved in a similar deal last year. Did fairly well.

I have to agree with Zig, crossover of any kind is good in this day and age.

Interesting timing. Right after the earl spends a couple of web pages trying to refresh our memory about how that league is all about short trackers and American drivers, Cart sends 2 Mexicans and a Canadian to CA to give sliding a midget car around an asphalt oval a shot. Man, if this ain't gettin more confusing everyday. :gomer:

Add this link (http://www.trackforum.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=38206&perpage=25&pagenumber=1) to the confusion. Now the lemmings are convincing themselves that road racing was part of the Vision™ and USAC heritage all along.

Go figure.
