2 Luis Diaz

Disclaimer: I had to make a command decision in a couple of areas:
1. The new point for most improved position in the race. In the case of a tie of most spots gained, I only gave the point to the driver with the better final position. I don't know how ChampCar will give that point out.

2. According to CART timing and scoring pages, drivers who didn't start the race (Coyne racing in Vancouver comes to mind) did not show a starting position or final position, therefore I decided not to score points for them.

The +/- number beside some drivers shows a move up or down in the standings from last years numbers to this years numbers. Probably the biggest winner in terms of points was Lavin who garnered alot of points.

sheesh. after all that, I go to CW and find someone did it before me. i'm a :gomer:

and our numbers differ. but we took different looks at how to score the best improved position point. He gave it to both drivers in case of a tie.

dm, very interesting, thanks for doing that.

I'm surprised that there is little difference between the two.

Thanks Steve...now what would be really cool is the last 20 years... :p

Thanks Steve, seeing as how I don't go to CW I would have missed this if it were not for you.
