I found the promoter stuff particularly interesting. It sounds like they're structuring themselves in a manner similar to ISC, SMI or Dover Downs. A bunch of people on staff, each responsible for a few events.

Wow, there is a whole ddivision for race promotion in North America. I used to joke with a friend that it was as if CART's promotion department was run out of a dorm room somewhere.

The report I have heard from posters who live near races is that there was more local promotion last year. This is a positive step.
