On WIBC, they stated that the judge called it the "BEST BUSINESS JUDGEMENT" :D And that TG not only offered the extra $10Million, and to run the 5 street events (can you say prostituting himself??), but he also said that he was prepared to sign a three year contract with these races.

Otte said that the litigation that would result from awarding this to the IRL and the loss of revenue to the communities that would lose races would be far too high to even consider.

he said that he doesn't know if OWRS will be able to succeed, but that this is the second chance at life!!!

I think Otte deserves free seats at any OWRS race in the future!!

After all this BS we've been through over the past decade, up and down like a roller coaster... after all of the predictions and support pieces I have put up and in conjunction with other similar-minded fans... after meeting so many fans like Paper and others that were not willing to give up the fight and were calling BS on the family all the way along... I felt like I would have been celebrating the 800lbs. weight that had just been lifted off my shoulders by posting and posting and posting.

And instead I'm just relieved, very relieved, that I will get to see and hear champCars again, officially, and there is a new group in charge who wants to grow the series again. I don't feel the need to point at this moment in time and say "Were the winners" (not that there is anything wrong with that, everyone shows emotion in different ways), I feel like justice has been served and finally... after so much turmoil and terrible news and wondering... was Australia the last ChampCar race I'll ever see?... I feel like ChampCar is back where it belongs: in the drivers seat.

To all those who were there all along and know exactly what I'm talking about - I can't express my heartfelt appreciation and happyness for us correctly - just know that things are going to be OK from here on out - and I'll drink to that and you. Yep, theres a battle that will still go on, but fortunately I'll be watching OWRS kick ass on TV and not watch ChampCars get their butts kicked in the court of public opinion.

Its a fantastic day and I'm proud of all of you, ChampCar fans, and OWRS especially. I may not post much anymore but it has been a pleasure to be with you folks.
