No, that's access to the onboard septic tank just in case it needs to
be sucked out during pitstops after driving one of those things
scares the **** out of the driver.

I think they must have decided its safer for the driver to sit on top once the car is been put on cruise control - that way in an accident the driver will be thrown clear of wreak
