Ok, 'fess up- what are your guilty pleasures? (No, I'm not talking about porn or watching jailbait at the mall- those are a given)

I'm talking about the TV shows that you watch that you're a little ashamed of, the music that you listen to that you really don't want your coworkers to know about, the weirdo food combinations that you enjoy. Hey, you can even admit that you like the IRL, but that might be a little too personal.

Tell your anonymous OffCamber friends. We promise that we'll keep it to ourselves.

I'll start:

TV shows- 1970s Charlie's Angels and The Brady Bunch.

Music: 70s disco, especially the BeeGees. (now that was tough to confess)

Food: ashamed to admit that I do like pork rinds. (but I don't like the IRL, so I'm excused)

Your turn.

I hate disco but I love the three-part harmony that was the BeeGees. It is a shame that we will never hear that again.

Music: I am, and always will be, a big Duran Duran fan.

TV: I love COPS. Especially when white trash resist arrest.

Food: I like my french toast with ketchup, salt and pepper.

I like Dodge.

I love horses.

TV Shows: I love "While You Were Out" on TLC.

Music: Justin Timberlake (his solo stuff, not NSYNC) :o

Me too.

I think I still like Steely Dan, but I haven't listened to them in 10 years.

When I was younger I drank gasoline because I loved the smell. Now I just love the smell.

Hmmm...

OK, BLT's, I can eat as many as you can make. I can't go to a restaraunt and order one cause I can't eat just one. Oh, Egg salad sandwiches fall into that category too.

The Bee Gee's are nothing to be ashamed of. Abba is another story, I'm guilty. :o

Yes to lusting after the Weather Channel girls. I was also obsessed with that Rudolf the Red Nosed reindeer special they always show long into my teen years. I just couldn't miss that special every Christmas. Thankfully I'm over that now.

I really enjoy watching Gilligans Island and not just because of Ginger or Mary Ann. (I prefer Mary Ann BTW).

I'm not sure if CORR racing falls into this category but guilty as charged.

I do watch a couple earl races and still attend the 500.

Old '60's BeeGees are cool. (I just gotta get a message to you.....hold on, hold on :( ), but C7, ABBA? Really? Can you say........INTERVENTION????? :D

The Archies rock on!!!!!!! NOT!

Original Bro' Bob Seger, SRV, Jimi, and <drum roll please>, the year BEFORE my divorce, ;) I tore up both front and back yards of the home I shared with my 1st wife in a little gated community not too far from Mosport, so I could plant melons.

That's right, melons.

Big, HONKIN'.......melons. Why you say? Simple, really. come August, those bad boys were ready!. So, I loaded up an '83 Ford 3/4 ton with homemade sideracks full of my melons and hit the road. Some 10 hours, and a broken rad hose later, I found myself and my melons in Seymour Indiana, where I spent the next two weeks at the John Cougar Melloncamp.

A good time was had by all, really. You COULD say that we were R. O. C. K. in the USA, and I confess that I was a huge fan at the time, but, I'm over it now.

Weird food items? Actually, no.

Strange TV shows? Other than admitting like the others to having impure thoughts about weather girls (and the morning girl on CITYTV's Breakky Television), where do I begin?

To Be Continued.........

cart7 and mapguy, I like Abba, but I don't feel guilty about it. Then again, I'm a chick, so I can be excused.

tv show: CSPAN-british house of commons - I dont envy Tony Blair's position at all, I've seen some debates break down almost to the point of fistfights

music:Bjork

food:cabbage, swiss cheese

TV Show: Joe Schmoe Show on Spike (I was gonna ask you folks who else had watched the season finale in a thread, but I didn't feel like being heckled :p ). I don't watch much TV, but I liked that show.

Music: For some odd reason I've been listening to lots of techno-pop lately - I'm not really sure why.

Food: hot apple cider... and a cigar on Sundays. :saywhat:

11-04-03, 01:31 AM
TV Shows: The Sex Files; Red Shoe Diaries (I know, we weren't supposed to include that... :D ); Queer Eye; Inside Winston Cup - those guys are a hoot; and I'm absolutely nuts about Angel the Series and Buffy.

Music: :o I adore listening and singing along to Air Supply. 80's power ballads, baby!!! I also love listening to anything by George Michael (oh, I can't believe I admitted that...). Oh, and The Pina Colada Song. :o

Food: Raw dough of all kinds. I guess the worst would be raw pancake batter. :D And I actually like tofu. Is health food embarrassing??

I love the old comedy shows from the 60s and 70s esp The Two Ronnie's, Dads Army and Benny Hill. My family think I'm mad but I just love the double entendres. Barney Miller was always a favorite along with The Beachcombers.

The Guess Who for me, especially Sour Suite. I don't know why that is a song that gets me because I did have a Dad and he was always there for me but.......Pina Colada is alright, I'll admit to singing to that. Badly, of course. ;)

I love most foods but how about Subway? The reasoning? Well if I'm eating it it means I'm on holiday in Australia! :)

Good thread. :)

TV: I'll catch myself watching pro wrestling sometimes. Only if MNF is really bad.

Food: Tenderloins. (I'm from Indiana, you see)

Music: 80s hair bands, Garth Brooks, lounge music (like what radio stations call "smooth jazz")

Other stuff: 50-60 minute showers; dropping pennies wherever I go to see how long they stay

Television:
Cartoons! Bullwinkle, Simpsons, King of the Hill, George of the Jungle, old Warner Brothers (Bugs Bunny, Roadrunner, etc.

Old Sit-coms: Cheers, All in the Family, Barney Miller, MASH... The only decent one of the last ten or more years is Malcom in the Middle

Food:
Tenderloins. Nothing like a huge bigger-than-the-bun slab of breaded hammered pig butt ('birds phrase) with mayo, lettuce and onion.

Anchovies on my pizza.

This one is weird. For my late night cholesterol fix, I'll sprinkle some garlic powder on my extra crunchy peanut butter sandwich.

Music:
Anything by Mozart. The man was a genius.

Pink Floyd.

Jimi Hendrix. Another genius.

Tell me about it, I actually made a career out of playing with other peoples big machines. It's still a kick in the tail after all these years. I don't have to pay for them, and I get to play with the some of the most exotic ones ever built. My favorite is still the jet casters that Magnequench in Anderson, IN uses to make amorphous neodymium/iron/boron ribbon. They spray molten metal onto a refrigerated wheel running at 2000Rpm, and it quenchs the metal solid instantley and an endless ribbon of razor sharp metal ribbon streams out the back....

Guiltiest TV is FoodTV I guess. Food would be hot dogs, I still like a good hot dog, rat hair, lips, unmentionable parts and all.

As for music, I occasionally like to put on the MC5 or Stooges, but they are actually considered cool again by those of the younger persuasion. I always like the MC5 live, it was like watching a drunk driving an 18 wheeler, you didn't know what was going to happen, but you knew something would...

Spanish TV Novelas (soap operas). Started watching one from Colombia a year and a half ago, La Guerra De Las Rosas, because I was taking a spanish class, after about 600 trips to Mexico and Puerto Rico, I was tired of talking crummy Spanish. So I notice this one actress, who I am very attracted to, Colombiana Catherine Siachoque. I watched her in her next show as well, La Venganza. For the most part I only watched a few minutes of each episode these shows, just to see her. Now there is a new Novela called Pasion De Gavilanes....I started watching that to check out one of my favorite hot Colomibanas Paola Rey and thanks to Telemundo all of their Novelas are now captioned in English which has really improved the enjoyment. I really can't stand/never watch the majority of these shows, especially the lame Mexican ones on Univision and other stations. I really find fascinating the ones from Colombia, of which all three I mentioned are made there. The colors in the scenes, even when they are walking down the street in some city or village scene, especially at night, the beauty of the sets, the incredibly gorgeous women, and even the unintentional in some cases comedy of how silly the shows can get is irresistable. I'm really hooked on Pasion, and have started watching every minute of it. It's really great to see some different aspects of Colombia, and now I want to go there but of course can't.

Some Reasons to watch Colombian Novelas:

Catherine Siachoque

With women like that, you have to wonder why "make love, not war" isn't a more common way of thinking in countries like Columbia.
