Looking at the "overhead" photos at Australia I noticed a few differences in the Lolas.

No "kickups at the rear wheels and the top of the side pods seem different from Bruno's car.

Oriol's car just seems "different" from Paul's

Any thoughts?

Could the differences be as simple as different model years?

There's just a zillion parts that were approved prior to the freeze. Some teams go with high downforce, some with low drag. I think that's the difference we see between the cars.

Looks like Fernandez and Patrick are using the same aero bits, as is the case between N/H and Players.

Exactly. This is why I still watch this series and ignore the IRL.

It's also part of the reason we don't have BS 'wheel to wheel, side by side, foot to the floor, all the way around, OUTSIDE...OUTSIDE....OUTSIDE' racing. Thank God.

You know those are just slick looking cars.

I get excited just looking at 'em

Cool pics too. And the weather looks delightful. Look at that sunshine!

Is this an example of another track where some teams have decided to run the low drag superspeedway sidepods and give up some downforce for top end speed? This was done by Team Rahal and at least one other organization earlier in the season.

Thanks for the photo's. Interesting to see the different thoughts on sidepod set ups. Got any spring rates?
