I just saw some guy in a rusted out Cheby pickup with a #3 sticker in the back window driving through town yelling "The Redcoats are coming! The Redcoats are coming!"

Do you think the two are related?

I want to be #1 in the North American section of the Vauxhall Vectra NECKCAR Fan Club!

If NASCAR gets Japanese, German, and English manufacturers involved they might finally need to adopt decent large displacement touring car regs.

In my younger years I really wanted to see a 6.3l SOHC M-B sedan racing in NASCAR.

But those were also the days when NASCAR was a racing series and not just a billboard company.

I can't speak for how many of you have found yourselves in a strange country on the other side of the earth, and no one speaks your language, and you maybe find yourself dazed & confused by it all.

Imagine if you will, the poor Yorkshireman that is rather taken by all of the fuss and unknowingly decends into Bristol for a close up of the festivities.

The day after the race, he decides to go whitewater rafting with his wife and his sister. Not realizing that the trip includes a guide, the Yorkshireman wisely advises his boatmates to each grab a paddle at the outfitters, so they will be prepared for the trip.

So, off the trio go from the outfitters, walking down main street on their way to the boat landing, when they pass the hardware store, where Billy-Bob, Bubba and Elrod hold court on a daily basis.

Now Billy-Bob, being the most out-spoken and educated of the lot gives a shout-out to the trio, saying,

"Hey Hoss! Where ya going with the oars?

And the Yorkshireman replies,

"Aw, they ain't whores, mate, that's me wife & me sister!"

Now, can you see how innocently an international incident can start? ;)

"Wife and sister"? But in NASCARland, there'd only be one woman standing there.

Course, Tall1 has picked up an exception. There might be one woman... and one sheep. :gomer:
