If a bike race takes place at them yard o'bricks it will only prove that Honda really has the idiotgrandson by the cajones.

How long before they build a small 1/4 mile oval between the pit road and the main straight and run thunder roadsters every Friday night?

I don't think even GP bikes would draw there, let alone the AMA.

Another desparate attempt to replace CART at the speedway and coverup the mess TG created w/ the IRL. Carry on genius businessman.

From the link:

"Indianapolis Motor Speedway is the home of the Indy 500."

You gotta remind people nowadays...

Maybe its gonna be added to the USGP weekend as a support race. God knows they need something else those weekends. Very few people bother to watch the Porsche Super Cup, and for good reason, because they suck. Superbikes sounds as good as anything else they could scrounge up to run that weekend. Atlantics won't be allowed in the gate because they're a C^RT series. I don't see ALMS running there, and Grand-Am would probably go over like a fart in church.

I've heard about this. That place is just itching for all kinds of races anymore... Think we be looking at a new name to join the list of greats like Gordon, Schumacher, Harroun, CARPENTER :saywhat:

Tony needs more revenue. Heck I know of a series that will race the oval or the infield for a million.

Expanding the revenues of the speedway, by adding events, only provides one more clue that the sisters have really put the kibosh on IRL welfare.

If the money can't come from the family coffers, then he has to make by diluting the IMS heritage. Isn't that why this whole split thing was started? To keep from reducing the value of the Indy 500?

Visions, you got to love them.

Maybe he can ask for a second day from NASCAR

And i'm sure the France's will go - "sure! we'll take the day away from Bruton Smith's 600 mile race and give you that day instead. ;)

How about a true Formula Libre race?

Maybe Franklin Ratliff would show up with one of his Williams turbofan propelled formula cars and put on a show to rival the IRL at Atlanta!

It's at times like these, and in forums like these, that someone makes a reference to Swamp Buggy Racing.

Might as well be me!! :D

Any Chessers around?
