What is your nomination for the worst looking streetcar of all time? Since so many bad looking cars have been made over the years I would suggest that a nomination be made in different categories, such as Economy Car, Mid Size, Luxury and Sports Car (anyone else feel free to add to or correct my selections of categories). Try to post a picture of your nominee.

I will freely admit this was inspired by Racegrll's thread on the pub quiz.

This maybe a help in getting started.

I won't post pix, but I could think of a few mega-chromed and finned monstrosities from the late 50's. The '58 Edsel comes to mind with some of the Plymouth's right behind.

Oh, and the AMC Pacer.

Agreeing with what I see above, I have to add the Aztec, and I believe it was Toyota's first attempt at a minivan. The one that would tip doing emergency manouvers over 25 kph.

More will be added as I think of them.

How about that Pontiac SUV thing with the tent on the back? The name escapes me but that thing is butt-ugly.

Oh, and the AMC Pacer.

Quite possibly the most butt ugly car of all time.

Anybody remember the Speedvision ad with the motorcycle cop who took the keys of the Pacer owner he had just pulled over? Then, you see him throw the keys in a storage thing on his bike already full of keychains. Then, you see dozens of other "abandoned" Pacers on the side of the isolated hiway. I loved that guy...

Whatever that brand new little mini-van-utility-like thing Honda just came out with. Saw a whole truckload of them pull into a dealership this morning. Dear lord, what were they thinking when they taped that thing together?

Man, this is too easy.

Pontiac Aztek (The kind of ugly that tries men's souls!)
Honda Element
Chevy Avalanche
Maserati Biturbo
Most SUVs (Just on principle)
Suzuki X-90 (Big, fat WTF?)
Jensen CV-8 (Great car, hideous body)
Any TVR (See above)

Any Pontiac from the golden age of plastic body cladding and snarling nostrils.

The AMC Pacer after AMC hedged their stylistic bets by slapping a nice standup chrome grill on the eggmobile.

mid 80's-90's Mercury Cougar- take a halfway decent aerobird and slap a vertical backlight on it to keep the bluehairs happy.

Hummer H2- Spending too much time in your cubicle, staring at office furniture? How about a Chevy Tahoe rebodied to look like a filing cabinet?

How about the Chrysler Cordoba?

Not even rich, Corinthian leather could elevate that above being a sow's ear.

I didn't think they were bad enough to rank among the ugliest, but I certainly never understood this.

The new Honda Element.

I just saw my first one today. It was a green and brownish color. I can't believe someone would look at one of those things and say "Man, I've got to have one of those." Yech
