Seems fitting that the shape of it looks like water going down a toilet.

I'm not from Chicago, but it seems to me like a pretty innovative approach to appease the preservationists while making the owners of tha facility, and the team, happy. The way they built that huge stadium inside the boundary created by the old facade is amazing. I would guess that most of the people in Chicago who are up in arms about the look of the new building would have FREAKED if they tore down the old facade, which was probably the alternative.

I've searched for and looked at aLOT of photos of it on the internet, and I've decided I like it.

Between this new abomination and the "new" Comiskey Park it looks like a Grade B alien invasion horror flic in Chicago....at least they aren't in a suburb and can still be considered real Chicago teams.

"No, the spaceship looks out of place in the columns"

And the team looks equally out of place in the stadium.

Geesh, are they ever lousy.

It looks stupid from the outside. But, I hear it is pretty neat looking on the inside as far as sight lines and such as compared to the old toilet bowl.

I will find out in person next Sunday!

"I will find out in person next Sunday!"

So will I!!

I'm actually hoping that the Bears go winless this year. Then there can be no choice but to replace all the coaches and most of the team. They suck. Worse than last year, at least then they could blame it on injuries.

Too bad the NFL doesn't operate like European soccer. They could send the Bears down to play in the arena league for a couple of years (or decades) until they get their act together.

“We’ve wasted it on stuff dumber than that before,” Penkala said of the money.

Let's see here. You spent $700 and ended up with nothing, not even the fake tickets as a souveneir, and it's not the dumbest thing you've spent money on?

I'd like to know what the other stuff was.
