Although awake and alert and was able to get out of the car under his own power with a little help, he was later strapped down to a board, and taken by life-flight for observation.

Finally, the no racing back to the caution showed how quickly safety workers can get to the car.

Hope he is ok.

By not racing back the safety crews were there less than 30 seconds after the car came to a halt as opposed to the minutes it used to take.

Racing back was an appalling rule that should have been revoked years ago.

The funny thing is, think about how the rule was finally revoked. Drivers complained for a while about racing back. Nascar kept saying no. Hell No.

So finally, the drivers just started ignoring the gentleman's agreement. If you want Nascar to change a rule, just ignore it. ;)

So Robbie Gordon should get a "thank you note" from Elliot Sadler, for breaking that "Gentleman's Agreement" a few weeks ago! ;) :)

Leave it to an ex-Carter for tryin to save Nascar from itself. Well, actually, Robbie Wasn't really doing that for Nascar now was he. :D
