The IRL drivers are the Washington Generals. They exist soley for the NASCAR boys to beat up on and be laughed at by the NASCAR fans. It's interesting to note who in the IRL hasn't figured this out. Helio Castro-Neves, Sam Hornish and Scott Sharp(who replaced an injured Giaffone). Either they have no brains or no shame.

I'd say they have neither.

When all you are doing is driving in circles, how much brain power do you really need??:gomer:

Bah, IROC used to be great. They used to get all sorts of drivers, I remember when they had F1 drivers over there. Those were the days. Nowadays the series is pathetic.

IROC exitst to prove, in the eyes of NASCAR fans, that NASCAR is supreme and has the best racers in the world.

this thread pretty much sums it up. IROC is basically a NASCAR clone.

Looking back through the history the IROC series ran at some nice places.

Burke Lakefront, Watkins Glen, Mid-Ohio, Riverside . . .

Too bad the series has lost its direction, it could be something worth watching.
