According to TSN.ca. (http://www.tsn.ca/auto_racing/news_story.asp?ID=48267) If Forsythe can't find another sponsor he's out of a ride.

And their slogan is "A Whole Lot Can Happen Right Out of the Blue"
Can you picture "Out of the Blue" on the sidepods?
Cool! :D

And they have a maple leaf in their logo. As a Canuck, I only hope so. Desperately.

Isn't Labatts owned by Interbrew (Belgium company) ??

yup, but Labatt is still a major force in the Canadian beer market

And in my fridge!

Weren't they an associate (maybe even primary) sponsor on Sullivan's car back in the day? Hope nobody p*ssed them off back then.

I will be happy to support whatever beer-maker supports this team.

This is a complete non-issue since it happens every year. Patrick gets injured, is threatened to lose his ride, and then starts winning races. Nothing to see here. ;)

They done a title deal for John Jones back in '89 or so, and were an associate on Adrian's car for a few years.

Molson's USA division sponsored Danny's car last time out.

Funny thing is, after 15 or 20 of 'em, they all start to taste the same.

I would love Labatts to step up to the plate and back
a team in Champcar....but it's no longer Canadian
controlled.....Interbrew bought Labatts in 95 (the Jays
were part of it)....they sold the jays in 2000 (retain 10-20%)
and I don't really see them stepping up....
I hope i'm wrong...
ps...I drank Blue from 1961 till they sold the Jays and
switched to Canadian... ) Having one right now..:D

Bingo. When Interbrew bought Labatts in 95, one of the big things Interbrew did, was to sell off the non-brewery things.... Like the Jays, the high-profile entertainment division, stuff like that.

Interbrew was (and still is) a big believer in brew first, everything else secondary. Don't ever expect Labatt's to go back to being big time in promotion.

You said it better devilmaster....Interbrew tried to sell
the Jays just after they bought them, it took 5 years...

I no longer watch stick & ball & puck stuff....I'm waiting
for a strike of the team owners / drivers / track owners
so I can dump those overpaid *******s....;)
