What does it mean when you find a gold-plated nickle from 1976?
Was this a thing that people did?
it is not noticeably worn on any surface, so I would surmise that it has been uncirculated, until I got it, obviously.

I guess they were a bicentennial thing. Worth something, but not a lot.

Sorry, g. Per the eBay thing, only worth 10x face value. Plus it looks like it has nicks around the edge. But always good to hear from you and I loved the play on g with g-illionaire.

I didn't actually think that it was overly-valuable, I have just never heard of such a thing.
The eBay link has gold on the face only.

It's just unusual.
