RIP Jill Sobule

I was really sad to read that singer-songwriter Jill Sobule tragically died in fire at her home earlier this week.

I was surprised to search and find that I've only mentioned her once here. She's best known for a '90s hit called "I Kissed a Girl," which long pre-dated the Katy Perry song of the same name. She also had a hit called "Supermodel" from the "Clueless" soundtrack.

But those songs captured her humor but didn't do justice to her talent as a song writer. Here are a few of my favorites.

What a horrendous way to die. I had forgotten about until I heard the news yesterday morning. I was surprised to see she had remained active in the industry all these years.
