Hey all,

So my arozzi verona pro v2 had given me years of gaming/race watching/race chatting in comfort.

But she's long in the tooth, she's lived her life.

I would go back to arozzi but they have left the Canadian market and with the tariff rift i want to avoid mailing to my us mailbox at the moment.

So I'm curious to see if anyone has recommendations.

I've checked out anda chairs (staples) and they are crap... and since I have researched online, i now get crazy amounts of ads.

I'm curious about blacklyte, and of course secret lab has a mclaren chair at 1100 bucks Canadian. :irked:

But if anyone has a good chair I'd like to hear about it.

I don't have a recommendation - but I do have a suggestion (inspired by some of the old Linus Tech Tips 'junkyard builds').

I know used computer/office furniture stores are pretty big in the 51st state. Next time you're home, suggest swinging by one of those places - you can try them out on the spot and save yourself a ton of $$$ in the process.

edit: Since I feel like I owe you an actual recommendation after the 51st state jab, a lot of people seem to like this one (https://www.newegg.ca/black-cougar-3mordnxb-0001-racing/p/N82E16826567052). Newegg.ca so all tariffs should be accounted for.

I bought a chair from Maxnomic. They are expensive but I figure it's about a wash vs replacing $100 chairs every two years the way I was. Warning: they have very firm padding. Some people find them uncomfortably firm. The US distributor is in Columbus so I was able to test drive them.

Not sure about the tariff situation. I think they're imported from Eurostan.

Many of my co-workers swear by used Aeron chairs that they've found "cheap" on Ebay or wherever. We have those in the office, but I can't imagine sitting on the mesh seat in shorts.

I have a Staples mesh seat chair in my home office. I've had it for probably five years. I've had no issues wearing shorts. In fact, the mesh seat is great in the warmer months and it doesn't trap heat. There are several days when I'm in my office for 8 hours or so.
