One of these days, cars will touch here and crash causing a red flag. Do not care at all for this design.

“I’m fed up with having explanations why it didn’t go well,” he said. “We were good in the hot, we weren’t in the cold, the previous day it was the other way around.

snoozefest. its too bad the driver test is only tuesday at yas marina... I really started wondering about a trip that would include the race, testing and then visit stuff like ferrari world etc....

on the alonzo / hamilton thing, I was also curious about the weaving back and forth from alonzo and perez on the 2nd half of that drs straight...

I'm sure a few other drivers did it too, just didn't see it.

And i'm a Norris fan, and I thought those 5 seconds was a weak call.

Good to know in that. Now I don't have to watch it on DVR. Check out Ferrari World carefully. I concluded it wasn't worth my time, being mostly a children's amusement park, not a museum like one finds at Indy. Of course not....

OK, so I did watch. Five laps. I realized it was for kids. I actually kinda liked the team pennants. The faces not so much.

Interesting stat from 2023 ....

HISTORICAL STAT OF THE WEEKEND: Whether they actually followed the podium ceremony protocol for every single F1 season like they do now, we'll still play along. Two national anthems get played -- one for the winning driver and one for the winning constructor. This is the first time since 1952 the British national anthem had not been played on the podium for the entire year. For 2023, it was Netherlands, Mexico, and Spain for the drivers; Austria and Italy for the constructors. In 1952, it was Italy for both constructor (Ferrari) and drivers (Piero Taruffi and Alberto Ascari). [Note, the Indy 500 doesn't even play the national anthem after the race.] 1950 and 1951 were also years the British anthem was never heard on the podium.
