Daniel Ricciardo to replace Nyck de Vries at AlphaTauri for the rest of the 2023 season. Granted de Vries hasn't done great but neither has his teammate...

Going to be interesting to see what happens going forward...

Tsunoda is a Honda protogé first and foremost since his teens... will he remain within the Red Bull sphere in -24 or is he bound for Aston Martin with Honda... what happens with Iwasa in F2? Is he Honda or Red Bull? He was supported by Honda prior to be added to the Red Bull Academy...

What will they do with Liam Lawson who is performing very well in Japan, was a bit unlucky in F2 and won DTM on his first try beating his then teammate Albon quite convincingly?

I'd put a small wager on Lawson and Danny Ric being teammates at Alpha Tauri next season... I don't see the point really in moving Ricciardo to RBR unless he blows Tsunoda away in a Verstappen-esque manner...

Ricciardo had better convincingly blow Tsunoda away if he wants to stay in F1.

Clearly the best way to fill that second seat is to hire a promising young driver and fire him immediately.
Fire enough drivers and, uhh, make profit!

Helmut Marko is a scourge.

Ok... De Vries is 28 with A LOT of previous experience, not a teen prodigy or a fresh into his/her 20s highly touted talent like Tsunoda. He has experience, was a Merc reserve driver and then the expectations are higher...

The mistake dear Helmut did was to hire Nyck based on an extremely small sample size of 1 race and not realizing the fact that he was free to leave Merc was a major red flag.

A hard taskmaster very short on patience, yes most definately... a Scourge, maybe a bit to harsh considering the sheer amount of drivers his young driver academy has brought to the top-end of the motorsport world
