Aston Martin and Williams with significant upgrades.

After an extended FP2 (FP1 was abbreviated due to a technical issue) both Mercedes are the fastest. But will that last?

FP3 and probably Q as well in the wet. Backside of a front, sure to be gone tomorrow but might shuffle qualifying order.

Carlos Sainz has been handed a three-place grid penalty for tomorrow after impeding Pierre Gasly in qualifying.

Also AlphaTauri driver Yuki Tsunoda and Aston Martin’s Lance Stroll had also been hit with three-place grid penalties, having impeded the Haas of Nico Hulkenberg and Alpine of Esteban Ocon respectively. Alonso is king of the late breakers, the haas has great straight line speed, and the red bull is monster on acceleration.

Not a very competitive race but it held my interest. Great race for ALB. Williams has to be thrilled. ALO is timeless. Arguably the three best drivers in the field were on the podium.

I really like the guy. Stick him in the 2nd Red Bull car and he's giving Verstappen a run for his money.
