It’s an interesting program, hope they do well. Of course it’s more like a prototype, or maybe a GT1 car, being a bespoke racing platform.

lots of early incidents....

and rain in parts of the course and the rest dry has wreaked havoc in the first 3 hours.

just over 8 hours in:

11 cars out from multiple incidents (62 started) and lots of long safety car periods.

This was the early on chaos. A little background: they knew this rain was coming - radios were telling drivers 'its going to be light, its only going to be around porsche curves and maybe arnage. It'll be light and only there with the rest of the track dry, so lets just stay on drys to maximize the rest of the track.

How can Ferrari who has been away for what seems like forever come in and win overall but yet flails around in F1? 24 is at least as much of a challenge as a full F1 season. In very different ways, but no less of a challenge. GM had a good day.

Gotta wonder what Charles Leclerc was thinking in the Ferrari garage.
