Not long ago there was much nashing of teeth over the possibility that Mario was being drawn to the darkside by his kid.

So far there is no sign that that's the case. He is still attending CART events and talking positively about CART. There's even a new Track Forum thread bashing him for bashing the IRL on the radio today.

Of course if the buyers turn it into something unrecognizable as Champ car all bets may be off. I just wish I had gotten more advance notice on the Mario/Ford GT photo op in Cleveland. :(

Although, I must say it's interesting to see such a polarized effect a statement can make. More less sums up open wheel racing of the past 8 years or so.
