Note to Sky Sports ... it's Montreal, Quebec, Canada, not Montreal Canada. I detest geographic incompetence. :shakehead:

Crofty didn't even know that Ottawa was the capital of Canada. Maybe just a blonde moment but still.

Looks like a great crowd. I love Montreal, Quebec and Canada. :D

Oddly, she doesn't find it nearly as funny as I do...:rofl::laugh:

After the race Alonso picked up a 5 second penalty for weaving all over the straights while trying to keep Bottas from passing him. It drops him to 9th.

Pit stops were abysmal.

Theywere. We discussed in chat briefly...among other things.

Interesting on the Mercedes rear wing spec picture from above also - though that could have been simply driver choice. In fact, looks to be same 'spec' just that Russell is runing ha higher downforce setting.

Kevin Magnussen: FIA are too easy to influence (https://www.espn.com/f1/story/_/id/34118668/kevin-magnussen-fia-too-easy-influence)

Alpine's Esteban Ocon, in the car behind Magnussen, told his team it could be dangerous if the piece came loose and hit his helmet, knowing his message would make it back to the FIA race director and stewards who make all officiating decisions during an F1 event.

A few laps later, race director Eduardo Freitas issued Magnussen the black and orange flag, which denotes a driver must pit for safety reasons.

I noticed that about the required fix and thought it was a bit odd. That might have been the last thing I saw before I fell asleep..........
