I wish more artists would do this. And I wish the selection committee would return to rock and roll. The museum is great, but the HOF has turned into whatever has been popular regardless of genre.

It went down to R&R money and popularity, then added R&B, hip hop, and even rap. The year my pals The Ventures were inducted was pretty much the last R&R year. I agree with you SteveH, it's not a patch on what it was.

I’m fine with the Blues being added as we all know the Blues had a baby and named it rock and roll. But anything beyond that and R&B is a stretch. Jann Wenner is no longer involved. The museum and HOF was his pipe dream and as such he exercised too much control over the selection process. He detested prog rock so until recently none were nominated.
