One of the original PPG IndyCar pace cars, or rather truck, is up for auction at Bring a Trailer.

This is one of the earlier, fully custom pace cars. Not long after this they started using fairly stock vehicles that were just painted in PPG colors. I went looking to see if I could find any others and found this cool page with pictures of many of them.

I'm partial to the purple Contour SVT. The SVT was a fun car.

Wow. Surprised it didn't bid higher than that. Yeah, it's kind of ugly but I see a lot of trucks with more money in them than that that won't get nearly the attention. :D
