What can anyone tell me about either of these series?

Looks like they are entry level types and are going to be at both
Road America and Brainerd as part of events I'm thinking of attending.

SCCA sanctioned, FIA Approved ladder series. Both run Honda engines and Ligier/Crawford chassis.

Formula Regional was originally to be called Continental Formula 3 but then the FIA redid GP3 and called that F3 so it became a problem. Honda is offering scholarships into Indy Lights so they've got a bob each way on the ladder series
