John Paul Jr. has died after a long battle with Huntington's disease.

JPJ was made a splash in IMSA with his powder blue 935 in IMSA GT's hey day and showed tremendous promise in Indycar before things went sideways with his nutcase dad and he ended up in jail. It's a tragedy that he never got to recognize his full potential. RIP

I didn't appreciate the full story. I remembered hearing about JPJ during my 'formative' years with CART and Camel GT, but I confess that he 'disappeared' and I never even noticed. Sad to hear the entire story. RIP
