Funny thing I saw. No idea if it's apocryphal. Ever airline pilot is basically imitating the silky smooth, ultra-cool demeanor of Chuck Yeager.

Monday morning was *privileged* to hear an hour + interview with Chuck, compiled when he was 68. To hear him describe the Mach 1 flight, the Mach 3.5 flight, the time he nearly killed himself, the whole career--I couldn't take my eyes off the screen. I haven't been able to find the exact link (it was part of a larger zoom) but I'm working on it.
