RIP Eddie Van Halen

Eddie Van Halen has sadly lost his battle with cancer. Eddie was a true wizard with the guitar but the scope of his musical talent is often under-appreciated. He revitalized rock guitar at a time when it badly needed it. And while his technique is legendary he never sacrificed musicality as so many of his imitators do.

Thanks Eddie, for making every kid in every town in the middle of nowhere feel like their Saturday night cruise through the bowling alley parking lot was an event worthy of an epic soundtrack.

Our High School mascot was the 'Blue Devil' when I was 'growing up' in the 80s. I use the term 'growing up' loosely ;) but I digress

In any event, 'Runnin' With The Devil' was sort of a theme song during my School years, and Van Halen got a lot of play. He was certainly one of the best ever and will be missed. RIP.
