Do we start a pool on whether Kim Jong Un is dead, and if so, when they'll formally announce it?

Reminds me of this:

Kim Jong Un didn't kill himself.

I hope it can get sorted out without any additional suffering by the North Korean people. Some folks seem to think that if his sister Kim Yo-jong succeeds him, that will be a good thing. There's no evidence of that.

If true, it’s certainly an opportunity for good, but the NK military is not going to support any opening up. Most likely to be a shitshow. My fear is not that they will use nukes, but sell them.

This could be a very tricky situation.

For a dictator to retain power he (or she) needs a loyal secret police (goon squad); probably multi layers of goons to keep everybody in line.

If Kim has died who knows what kind of power grab will take place. Could Kim have put a plan for succession in place? Who knows?

Could a “normal” person take power and bring NK into the light of day? Too much to hope for?

This is shaping up to be a real ***** show. We’d better be on our toes.
