Big and surprising news it has to be said. Marshall Pruett has quite a good piece speculating on the how and why over on Racer.

V8 Supercars with their spool diff and the like couldn't be more different to an IndyCar (ask Simona de Silvestro although she had rubbish equipment her entire time in Australia). No doubt the bloke can drive but can he transition to IndyCars? It's an interesting choice especially as he has bugger all open wheel experience. Maybe Penske will run him in the S5000 cars this year?

I still think long term he's headed to NASCAR but maybe Roger thinks he can win the 500 first?

Told ya before with Scott mate, Kiwis can fly. :D

Seriously I didn't see him going to openwheelers, thought it would have been straight to Nascar. I know he was pretty down with what went on with some of the comments from some of the other drivers after his Teams dramas.
