Privateer Ford team? C Ganassi Racing is as "privateer" as J Wyer, R Joest, or R Penske. If you believe they were/are "privateers", I've got this big bridge in NY (the Verrazano) to sell you cheap...cash only. ;)

(Besides, did you not notice the names of the teams that ran the 4 cars.....Ford Chip Ganassi Team USA and Ford Chip Ganassi Team UK? :))

I think that a team funded by Ben Keating and run by Riley Motorsports counts as privateer

'Got me there....I plum forgot about Am altogether :o (tho' I disagree that Riley's involvement....a "privateer" team....? In this case technically yes, absolutely; but with Riley's previous Ford association........:p)
