So there's a serious question whether there are enough "walk on" 500-only teams that could bump one of the regular teams? I'm amazed they can cobble together enough money for a 34th car, let alone bump a full season team...

I think its more along the lines: If penske/ganassi makes multiple one-off car teams, they want them in.

I suppose it's interesting to see what hinch thinks of this. Tommy Kendall was against it on twitter.
