If you haven't already seen it, Sophia Floersch who is a 17 year old German schoolgirl, was racing in the Macau Grand Prix for Formula 3 cars and had a monumental accident at Lisboa. I think it was more crazy than Robert Wickens' one at Pocono.

Amazingly Sophia has a spinal fracture but not much else. A marshal sustained facial lacerations, bruising and a dislocated jaw. Two photographers were also involved. One has concussion. The other suffered a laceration to the liver.

Video of one scary, scary crash and one amazing story of survival. Like I said Grace of God stuff that nobody was hugely injured.

both left side wheels were ripped off so the tub sat on its left side leaving no tyres on the ground. it went unabated onto the raised blue kerb.

Wow. It really is a miracle that nobody was more seriously hurt. Even just hitting that photgraphers' "bunker" a little differently could have been fatal for either the driver or someone inside.
