Petersen reopens the vault

If you're in the area, Petersen Automotive Museum is reopening the vault May 30 and 31. Tours available. Only 250 tickets per day. They say this is the ONLY time you'll be allowed to take pictures. If you haven't been since they remodeled the museum itself, it's worth a look. Open every day 10A to 6 PM. Be alert for Metro construction on streets in the area. Edit: Also onsite a reputedly excellent Drago Restaurant.

2-hour "guided" tour: $125, unguided: $75. Yikes!
That said, I can vouch for the restaurant, very good food. :)

I thought it was actually pretty cheap, compared to what they usually charge just to watch a movie. It's always expensive to get into the vault and now what you're really paying for is the chance to take pictures.
