Android launchers

Anyone using a custom Android launcher?

I'd like to get rid of the Google search bar that they've bolted to my home screen but they seem to have made it impossible in the base launcher.

Recommendations? Trying to avoid trying a dozen of them.

I'm playing with "Nice Launcher" which seems nice enough. At least the stupid Google feed sidebar is gone. If I seem paranoid it's only because they're watching me. :irked:
