We've taken photos of the Indy cars from the last couple of decades, done side-by-side comparisons on what we like and don't like, and then we've taken some of those ideas to our partners, our manufacturers, and gotten their feedback on what might work...

We want the low engine cover just because we want the car to look more like a traditional Indy car from the '90s," he told Racecar Engineering. "The whole [overhead] airbox thing is really left over from a normally aspirated engine, which we [haven't] had for so long. It's good at creating positive pressure so the turbos work less hard, but it isn't the only option available, so we will be moving the [turbo] inlets to the sidepods.
What a bunch of *******s. :shakehead:

Seems like everything IndyCar is doing these days is about going back to the mid-90's... :gomer:

They've got to do something about the stupid amount of downforce they have. They were lapping Phoenix flat this year which is ludicrous. The only place that should be flat is Michigan in qualifying on sticker tyres

"Reverse engineer an aesthetic" is IRL speak for plagiarize and copy the past. Just merge with a historic race series and call it a day.

Indy Reenactment League. Where we celebrate the past because today is so sad. :tony:

Michigan, maybe...

Fontana (if ISC resurfaces it) would be better. The flatter corner exits help the big speeds, but the risk factor has to be considered.

Still have to get rid of that PIG of a chassis for road courses, though. :yuck:

Take one lawn dart, saw off the karbashions and airbox, and add 2 sharks.

Will they still have room on the sharkpods for the frickin' laser beams?

(it's still 800,000% better than the current pig.)

You can't go home again. Especially since you obliterated the home.
