C'man said Alexander Rossi was the only realistic chance for an American to move into F-1...last May, I think? I see Rossi will be replacing Mehri at Manor F-1 for 5 of the last 7 races. Good luck to him, but what a place to START!

Goal #1 is just do better than your teammate. Do that and moving up is possible.

Well, maybe start with simpler goals. ;)

The young American has been called up by the team to replace Roberto Merhi but failed to impress on his first outing for the team under the lights of Singapore.

Rossi crashed out at Turn 18 in the final stages of Practice One, wrecking his car and bringing out the red flags for an early end to the session.

Yeah, but only 11 secs. off the pace at the time. Seriously, I feel badly for him and I think anyone who can hold 2nd place this deeply into a GP-2 season has to be a pretty good race driver. Hope he can look back on this some day from an F-1 podium and recall the bad old days. I'll give him 7 years!;)
